Must have completed a Rule 25/Chemical Use Assessment prior to admittance with recommendation for substance use disorder treatment. Assessment must be reviewed by Northland Recovery-Pineview Center (NRPC) Director/Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor/Medical staff to determine if appropriate for placement based on recommendations.
NRPC does provide some local transportation to and from our location for court appointments or non-emergency medical appointments. Transportation is provided for clients to off campus self-help meetings and sober activities.
Medical Services / Pharmacy Services
Certain medical services may be required during your treatment stay. NRPC provides basic on-site primary care services with emergency and specialty care available through local providers. Private and public medical insurance will cover most medical services.
Policies and Procedures
NRPC is pleased that you have chosen our program for your substance use disorder treatment. We trust your stay will be a life changing and positive experience.
What to bring?
- Three to four changes of comfortable everyday clothing. No-cost laundry facility is available.
- Personal care items such as shampoo, deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.
- Appropriate jacket or coat for the season
- Optional: change for the pop machine
- Optional: Letter writing materials and stamps
- As rooms are shared, please limit personal belongings.
Please do NOT bring mouthwash, cologne, short shorts, low cut or bare midriff tops, inappropriate logo t-shirts, aerosols.
If possible, please have a physical exam completed before entering treatment. A Mantoux (TB) test will be administered upon admittance. Non-emergency dental and vision needs should be taken care of either before entering treatment or after discharge.
All medications must be brought in their original container. Daily pill organizers are not accepted. Bring enough of the prescription to last entire stay. Please bring money for any prescription medication copays.
Plan ahead by getting supplies from your doctor before you arrive. This will lower medical costs and prevent interruptions in care while at NRPC.
NRPC is a smoke-free building, however, smoking is permitted outside on the patio. Bring your own tobacco products if needed.

Phone cards are requested for long-distance calls. In case of emergency, notify staff at (218) 540-0142. Incoming client phone number will be provided at time of intake.
Saturday 10 am – 5 pm, Sunday 10 am – 5 pm
No cell phones, purses, backpacks, beverages, or food is to be brought in by visitors. Visitors must sign in on arrival.
There is no space available for client cars. If driving is the only means of getting to NRPC please make arrangement to have it picked up as soon as possible. Until then, the car must be locked and the keys given to staff to be locked up.
